Automatic transmission? Possibly the neutral safety switch.

Try to start it in neutral or slide the shifter back and forth while holding the key in the start position.

Still no start? Pull up the cover at the base of the shifter and check to see that the pin on the shifter might have come out of the neutral safety switch assembly.
