I bought the new gear for $25.00. IPD charges more, but they include an installation DVD.

By the way, IPD says that it takes an hour for someone with modest mechanical to intall the gear. My mechanic (35 years expereince) took an hour to install it.

I recommend a new gear. This is a common problem and an old speedo will very likely break in the near future (unless it is broken already).
