Used tranny is no gamble with advice from brickboard

Hi
I needed to replace the automatic transmission .
I followed the sage advice on the brickboard sampleing
the fluid in several junkyard canidates, many were dark with a burnt
smell, after a six month search that took in several states, I was starting to look at clutch pack kits. Then I found it the tranny with fluid that looked like cherry soda.
I layed down a hundred dollars and the gambling tranny was mine.I still had to remove it a social event all it's own.
A few days later I was driving like new
thanks
