One wire alternator 140-160

The normal setup for an alternator has a thin wire for a "not charging" lamp and a thick wire that goes to the battery side of the starter solenoid switch or to the battery positive. Usually the "not charging" lamp also provides a bias current for the field winding in the alternator and will not work properly without it. Have long ago switched to alternator, never had any problems since.
