Radio interference 140-160

Hello Again,

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll definitely keep all the tips in mind when installing my next radio in some other car. I say other car because I've decided to live without the one in the Volvo. I re-examined the wiring, and it appears that the MG radio wasn't the best choice for what I wanted. I've installed many different types of radios in the past, but couldn't figure this Brit's gremlins out for the life of me. I thought I had finally solved the problem, and went inside. When I returned, the cabin was full of smoke. I saw that the red power wire (one supposedly with a fusible link) had burned off it's insulation, was glowing red hot, and had started to melt other wiring. I ripped out the whole radio before it could do more damage. Guess I'll just install a radio delete plate, since I didn't use the radio in that car much anyway. Many thanks for the suggestions though, as I tried most of them. Perhaps they will come in handy the next time I install a non-MG radio. :)
