Left side of steering column... 200 1992

Sven is right - the connector for the airbag is on the driver side, below the center console. Easiest way to get to it is take off the driver's side console cover, and reach under the carpet to find the connector. You will also probably need to remove the two screws at the bottom front of the console, directly in front of the shifter.

There are two connectors there, one is yellow, one is orange. Check your Bentley/Haynes for the correct color - I kind of think it's the orange.

In my case, the prev. owner wore a hole in the carpet from her right foot, or something, so I can just lift up the mat and reach up there.

The steering wheel cover has two parts, a top and bottom. You can remove the top by removing the two screws. To remove the bottom, look underneath, and you'll see two recessed screw holes - unscrew and remove... gently.

The bolster is also super-easy to remove for easy access down low - pop out the two plastic rectangles (gently) with a screwdriver, or something firm and flat, and less likely to damage the rectangles. Then insert a largish torx head (I've forgotten what #, maybe 25?) and unscrew both bolts. Voila!

Best o luck,

Lanval
