So, its a long story, but I have a 1993 240 A/T, which when cold (ambient) wont shift from first gear, you can wind it up, dump out of the throttle and it seems to get lost between gears.
Recently, since the weather warmed, after a few a few cycles through 1st backing out of the throttle it will shift from first, to second and work mostly normally, slightly higher shift points than previously, and sometimes need to back off the throttle. but wont go back to first unless you manually shift it back.
I have adjusted the kickdown cable a few different ways, none of which seem to affect it, the fluid is good, at the correct level, possibly slightly high, the driveshft has minimal play, no noticable vibration.
Any ideas?
