If it is the suction hose and I believe you meant that, then the pressure is quite low, perhaps 100 psi with the a/c off. When running it probably drops to about 50 psi.
Often with age, the rubber part of those hoses shrink within the crimp and then they leak a little. You can cut the outer metal sleeve off the crimp with a dremel tool and then use a radiator hose clamp to resqueeze the hose onto the nipple.
This will most likely solve your problem.
If it is the pressure hose, it could go to 400 psi on R134a so do not try this.
This is also a common problem with power steering hoses between the reservoir and the pump and the return line when the pressure is basically non existant.
