Postback about fuel system 700

Thank you vvpete

Yes, I will tank with premium. I sure do agree that the car benefits from thatthat, the lawnmower gas was just a half gallon so so, it was all there was available in the driveway after pouring in the three bottles of cleaner. I will not be doing that again. Ditto for the boat gas. Thank you.

Here is how premium also seem to make sense for the car from another angle: the car seems to get about 5% better mileage running premium than the 91-octane blend achievable by pumping half midgrade and half premium. I figure that if the price difference between the blend and the premium is less than 5%, then pure premium is not only the better value, but with its added detergents, likely smoother on the car and, with the higher octane, the cylinder firings are likely timed better so that the engine is fighting itself less.

If memory serves, the manual says min 91 octane, the filler door says Premium preferred. Premium is surely a good idea for the slight increase in price.

That is the third fuel filter on the car and it has only about 20k miles on it. I will watch it.

Thank you for posting.
