The bubble flare tool (240 brake lines, maybe 140) is cheap off Ebay. I paid about $20 US for it (NTXtools.com). Quite handy and gives confidence in brake work.

The 240s use a copper-zinc (?) alloy that doesn't rust and is easily worked. Pulled lengths of it (front to rear) from a parts car.
