First, thanks for the reply.

No, it's there - right above the water pump - to the left of the upper timing belt cover (facing the motor). Garrett turbos have this valve - Mitz don't.
I just know it goes by 3 letters, as there was a picture of it along with some troubleshooting in the 700/900 FAQ's the way it was arranged prior to it's new incarnation.
It is probably still there in the FAQ's, but for the life of me I can't find it.

I am pretty sure that the connection that I am speaking of does not need a gasket, so unless I get something to the contrary - I am going to clean it all up and put it all back together.
