ignition for a 122 and such 120-130

The ignition system is by nature very noisy electrically so if it and the
radio are hooked together directly you can probably count on hearing the
ignition in the radio. Probably hooking the radio up in the right place,
possibly with a capacitor across the power lead, should make it work OK.

There are a number of places that sell "universal" ignition switches that will
work OK on a 122. There is nothing odd about them other than the armored cable
that connects them to the coil and the way they mount (and die!) The "universal"
switches will not have the armored cable. My 3rd 122 (a 66 wagon) had a Buick
ignition switch with octagonal key when I bought it. That switch finally gave
out also.

If your voltage is more or less normal I would not expect your car to damage
your cel phone charger.
