Hi Stan,

These are aluminum pans and if the proper gasket is used on the drain plug, 26 ft. lbs. should work just fine. I use less than that and don't have any leaks on either of our two B6304's.

I just didn't want you over cranking the plug and stripping out the threads in the oil pan.
