I'd say "you're ok". Yeah, $600 is a lot. But the work had to be done and you've had other, higher priority things to do with your time. I do suggest you return to the shop and share your dissatisfaction with the under-dashboard hanging stuff. Perhaps they can tidy things up a bit with a few zip-ties...

But I know (and have often experienced) that sinking feeling as I drive home...
