Back in the old days before AC was standard equip ventilation was a primary feature. I remember Fords and probably all cars had the floor vents that while underway would suppply lots of outside air and combined with window wing vents
you never got hot. I miss the window wings .... just sold my 67 porsche ... those vents would channel in a huge amount of air at 100 mph!
