serious brake help needed! 200 1980

Unfotunately, like Dasein mentions, you threw parts at the problem and introduced even more variables to the problem.

My impression is that you had a leak somewhere, shown by the brake light coming on indicating an imbalance in the system.

Get/make yourself a pressure bleeder so you can concentrate on bleeding rather than pedal pushing.

A cheap pressure bleeder involves a tire valve, spare reservoir cap (maybe a suitable vitamin bottle cover), about 6 feet of vinyl (low pressure) tubing, a couple of clamp-on heads from tire pumps and a tire pumped to 10 psi.

Before bleeding, tighten everything up, attach pressure bleeder and look for leaks, then proceed to bleed.

You need to clear the air out of the MC first. See http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo-914438.html
