Flame Trap Relocation Kit. 200

I've purchased "relocation kits" from three sources now. IPD and two on E-bay as well. I don't think any of them are worth the trouble. On B23 B/230 engines I've gone to taking the old hose that goes from the trap to the intake and cutting off the 90 degree bend. Then I use the rest to go from the oil separator all the way up above the intake manifold. From there I use the latest style "double angle" hose to connect to the intake with the newer straight flame trap. While the kits out there do get the trap out from under the intake manifold, I think they are still too far down to be really helpful. For ease of maintenance and to help avoid breaking the vacuum connection during service, I think the trap needs to be a couple of inches higher up.

By the way, the 2 7/8 tip is great, but with 3" and stainless clamp you can get 35 horse! Not to mentione the 100 hp boost you get with one of those neat aluminum wings. Just ask the guys with the civics. Hmmm, imagine how much horsepower those blue neon lights are worth.

Regards,

DS
