B234F code 2-3-2 900 1991

MiRo,

First, let me say I know nothing about the 940. But I do know how fuel injection works so my best guess:

If I read the list of codes correctly 2-3-2 is rich at idle. Two possibilities; either the O2 sensor is wrong or the car actually is running rich at idle. If you are certain you've got a clean air filter, etc., the quickest way to resolve that question is to replace the oxygen sensor; especially if it hasn't been done in several thousand miles.

Several possibilities exsist if the O2 sensor is good. One is an injector that is dribbling a bit more fuel than it should. This would create a relatively richer mix at idle than at speed. Another area to check is to make sure the idle air bypass is functioning. Any deeper than those checks will require more knowledge of the system than I have.
