Speedo Drive Seals 1800

The speedo drive on my 65 1800S was leaking. I ordered a new "hat seal", only to find on its arrival that it is completely different than the seal that was on the drive. The hat seal is way too small to fit over the speedo shaft.
Were the funny looking hat seals used on all 1800 drives, or was a more conventional seal used on some? Is it possibe the drive I have now is from a differnet model car?
The original seal I removed is numbered 0.250, 0.313, and 0.563, in REAALLY small print.
