where is my ignition control unit? 200 1993

so, i checked the fuel pressure regulator. took the vacuum hose off and there was no liquid in it. does that mean it's not the fpr? it did smell like gas, but i'm guessing that's because of the fact that it's a vaccuum hose and has gas coming in from the other side.
