Throttle Positioning Sensor problem? 240 wagon 200 1989

Hello all, I have a 240 wagon DL with a problem that has been very hard to get to the bottom of. Typically, after 1-2 hours of highway driving the check engine light comes on, the car begins to guzzle fuel and idle/run rough. The codes displayed are the oxygen and mass air flow sensors, both of which have been replaced and are new. When the battery is unplugged and error codes cleared, it will run somewhat properly before tripping over to the guzzle and rough idle mode. It appears to trip over to this mode more easily/faster when the car has been running for a while. The throttle position sensor seems to be ok, so I am out of idea's, your help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
