A/C Problem 200 1991

If your car has an accumulator "tank" on the passenger side of the firewall, locate the pressure cycle switch on the side of it. Unplug the connector and use a bent paper clip to jumper across the harness connector. Does this cause the AC to start... is there now cold air coming out of the vents? If yes, then you need a new cycling switch. Napa has a generic one for less than $18 but you'll need to cut off the harness connector and replace it with two female spade lugs. The beauty of this fix is that you won't lose any significant amount of refrigerant as the switch is mounted on an S valve.

Let us know what you find! On our 92, when the AC died, I thought it was the relay, but it turned out to be the cycle switch... easy fix!
