Thanks Randy,

I saw the info about the coolant loss switch, that's a good idea.
Once I lost a water pump and had a dead idiot light, I needed to hear
some nasty engine knocking to realize a problem, and it took a T-shirt
stuffed in the carb to shut down the deiseling engine, UGH! It was ugly.

I did some searching about the 740 temperature guage and it seems a perennial
subject on the forum. It seems odd that no one has reported a solution.
