Looking for an A/C pipe 700

Hi from Boston,

I just went through some agony to repair the AC in my 89 740.
You can get the two pipes cheaper from FCP Groton and save some
loot over dealer prices. You need new O-rings as well.
I had to replace the line from the compressor to the condenser as well,
2 pipes. I had leaks at the clamps at the compressor and also on the pipe
from the evaporator to the condenser ALL under the clamps.
Maybe I'll replace the clamps with their rubber part that degrades with age.

Buying all new pipes and clamps is cheaper than fooling around finding leaks
at a garage at $75/hr.

BTW I'm advised that the accumulator dryer needs change out and is trashed
after being exposed to air for any length of time.

I got my A/C recharged with Flash12 instead of R-134 on the advice of my
Volvo mechanic guru, it works fine now.

My fears just last month were that I'd get it fixed just in time for Xmas!

Good luck, Bill
