I am unable to login?

I tried to login and first it would not accept my user name and then not my password and now...

when I put my user name into the Login box in the upper right corner and hit return the Login box disappears and nothing else happens.

I do remember something about "cookie" not existing ... (?)

I do not see a webmaster contact link anymore either ... (?)

I did work my way around to a login window but it still does not recognize my password. I have tried asking for my password to be sent to me - to two different email accounts with no reply to either.

When I try to create an account I'm told one already exists for my user name.

Lastly the system remembers who I am because it shows my user name and the correct number of digits for my password when I selected to post a message! (?)

What am I missing.
