picked it up today 120-130

so i picked the new wagon up from the muffler shop today, drove it around for a while checking it out. things drive very nice, with a few bumps and knocks here and there. took the old lady's car to work till i could look into the noises. after work i crawled underneath and had a closer look.

basically i had to tighten almost every nut and bolt in the front suspension. shocks, lower ball joint mounting hardware, steering and tie rods, sway bar links and crossmember bushings, idler arm and steering box mounting bolts were all in need of tightening. checked the rear end, the drive shaft bolts, bellhousing bolts, etc... tightened where need be. man what a difference!, only one noise is left and i have a feeling its the hanger bearing clunking now and again. it clunks in all gears weather in gear or not, i can feel a slight vibration between the seats from the tunnel. trans and dif seem to be quiet with the exception of 3rd gear.

other issues i will need to address are hooking up the heater controls, no back up lights or temp gauge. it reads in the middle all the time, cold or hot. need to replace the ignition assembly, the prior owner butcher'd the cylinder housing getting the old ignition set out. other than that it's pretty solid, forgot how much fun working on 122's are. lights, horn, signals, gas guage all work, motor purrs. air care will happen on thursday i think and then i'll have plates and insurance on it.
