Take all of the plugs out. Then, with a small flashlight, inspect the tops of all of the pistons for any indication of valve damage. Little moon shaped indents are a no-no. If there are no half circles, get a new chain, line everything up and tighten it down. Crank the engine over by hand at least twice and listen for noise. No noise, hit the starter.
If there is damage, you will need to have at least the head replaced, and/or the pistons. At that rate, buying a used B230T and 5 speed tranny in the same box would be cheaper.
