Nice ideas. However, I rechecked the gap and collar fitting and all seems well and the Pertronix wires have always been situated correctly. How advanced is your timing? I've got mine set to 10 degrees TDC, but maybe that's not enough. I've heard Pertronix can radically alter timing requirements in other vehicle makes. Thanks.
