....a quick glance at some on-line parts dealers shows that they are offering a gasket for the front pipe to converter for models with "EGR" whatever that is (exhaust gas recirculation?) . I have the eight valve model of that year and there appears to be some packing in there. There should be. Nobody likes an exhaust leak into the cabin of the vehicle
