Fuel pump fuse #5 getting too hot

Its either resistance at the fuse/ fuse holder interface or a pump that is going and drawing too much current. Rule out the simple one, then worry about meeting the Volvo manual spec for current draw on the fuel pump. Something like 6 amps normal, 8 amps replace, if memory serves. You need to check the values, I am guessing from memory. Current draw and fuel pressure data would be diagnostic.
