Absolutely, without a doubt, I would also replace the engine, put in a new set of chromemoly piston return springs, and have the Canewter valve balanced while you are in there. Seriously, it might help if you let someone know what year and model you are working on. You can replace those items as part of a preventative maintenance if you want but typically, no, you don't just replace them for fun, of course depending upon which year and model you have.
