rcsammy beat me to the punch on this one.
I noticed that I was having trouble with my steering a few years back. I looked under the hood and noticed that the passengers side motor mount was headed south. I called Tasca Volvo and ordered two new ones. The original equipment lasted 14+ years I didn't see any reason to risk using some other brand's product.
I think I remember removing the oil filter to get better access to the one on the passengers side, and I think I had to use a jack on the lip of the oil pan to help facilitate the removal of the one on the drivers side. Wasn't a bad little job, but I took my time so that I ended the job with all of my fingers intact. I also think I had some blocks of wood under the engine as a back up in case the jack were to slip loose.
Recently, I remember seeing a picture where someone suspended a piece of metal across the front fenders and a piece of threaded rod attached to the loop of metal that is behind the thermostat housing, then using the threaded rod to raise and lower the engine.
Good luck with this project.
