Any possibility that

A: The cap is rotated off 180 deg.

B: The cap is not fully seated

C: The contact inside the cap is not touching the top of the rotor.

Are you getting spark at all 4 plugs?

If you have spark, and you have fuel, you should get some sort of ignition, unless the spark is occurring at the wrong time, or the wrong plug.
