Yes, I've used a universal pump from Summit Racing to good effect. This was MSD brand, but it's probably the same as sold under other names. Had to drill four holes for the mounts supplied with the pump, put two terminals on the wires instead of the original connector, and change the outlet fitting on the gas tank to match the inlet of the new pump.
