1967 122s electrical problems!!!!!! 120-130

My best guess (and it's an obvious one) is that something is grounding out. I'd look for a bare wire that's be shaken up against the block or body, or perhaps something from the ignition circuit has been wired wrong.

Failing that, look for a loose wire on the back of your ignition switch under the dash. There is all sorts of weirdness under there on some cars.


Sorry I can't get more specific.

It does not blow at KPII, but only after you start it?

Come to think of it, I've usually blown mine when something around the back of the fan or lighter switch grounds out. Check back there.

Also rig up an in-line blade fuse holder and a couple clips to jump the circuit to save yourself more of those expensive fuses.
