Thanks Everyone!
The sudden onset of the cataracts was a shock. Everyone I ever talked to said that it took years to get to the point where surgery was needed.
It didn't help that the lens replacement took three hours and they only gave enough anesthetic to last a little over one hour. Believe me, having learned to deal with pain associated with my other problems stood me in good stead since I had to hold still with a needle in my eye for over an hour!
Still, I'm looking forward to getting the other eye fixed. We (the surgeon and I) learned a lot about how to get me through the operation with little to no pain next time!
I guess what has really gotten me down is the fact that 'Hot Stuff' is sitting in the drive at Dad's place. Hopefully I'll get an opportunity to go up and retrieve her this weekend. Even not driving her, I sure miss having her around!
