If it is just coolant leaking then you're probably okay.

The tranny cooler is a short bit of copper pipe inside of but seperate from the rest of the rad. The pipe extends out at two places for connecting the tranny pipes to. So it could be that the seal around the pipe is gone causing coolant to leak out but the actual tranny pipe and connections are fine.
