Am I afflicted with this terrible disease that others here have been living with for some time?
Yes, if you only have a couple of Volvos you are in the early stages. With an understanding significant other it can spiral downward and quickly get out of control...

How does it play out :?
You don't really want to know :-) Personally I am enrolled in a ten step program but have had numerous relapses over a 25 year period and at this stage I have to assume it is incurable.
