Unless it is a 16 valve head you really don't have anything to worry about, just a tow back to your place and a new belt the car will be running in no time. These engines are non-interference, so the valves will not hit the pistons if the belt fails. The 16-valve motor is, however, and interference engine.
I would prob still want to replace it on my own time rather than wait until it decides it needs to be fixed. By nature when that happens you won't be able to free the time to do the work.
