Need a "Beater' in Northern Alberta

I am currently teaching in Wabasca, Alberta ... about 340 KM north of Edmonton and seeing as I flew here from Nova Scotia, they were kind of picky about what I was able to check through as luggage ... Neither Ole Reliable nor my Bertone was considered as checkable luggage for some strange reason... ;-) So I am stuck here in the GWN (Great White North) with no transportation except the loan of a 1986 F150 that belongs to my Principal ... Just wondering if there is anyone within an hour or two driving range who might have an old VOLVO that they would be willing to part with in the Cdn$2,000 and under price range.
