I used two sway bars on one of my old 544's about 25 years ago. If I remember correctly I cut the ends off of the lower swaybar and just clamped them together with heavy duty hose clamps. Crude but effective. I just used the car primarily for autocrossing at the time so noise etc. was not a concern.
