I hear you! 700 1990

Steve,

I too, had been bothered by the contradiction since my manual and every other 740 manual I looked at on line states the opposite of the brickboard.

I have the VADIS parts program and the green manuals for both the specifications and cooling sections and NONE of them list which one to use. They all list both temperatures but DO NOT specify which to use. The only VOLVO guidance I have seen has been in the owners manual.

I have had both temps in my 89 740 turbo. The electric fan ran more often with the 92C so I figured I would stick with the 87C one. I did not notice any diffence in mileage or performance.
