I tried to get in touch with you, Mike F, directly but was just coming up with a blank screen so I'll post this note regarding the early FI Volvo used--which was electronic. Introduced on the 1968 VW Squareback, it was also used by Saab and Porsche among others. It had a lot of components--required maintainence and adjustment and some of the components were just plain failure prone. When working as intended it did perform well.
