Odometer fix 700

No its different from the 240.
I didn't find broken gears in my 740 speedo, I replaced it with an ebay speedo, replaced the whole instrument panel bucket in 3 minutes. $50.

At the bottom of the instrument panel theres 2 small cover plates, One of them says (Unleaded fuel only) pry the covers off to find the screws, 2 screws and the whole thing is out, pull it towards you, rotate upwards and unplug the connectors. Done.

I took the old speedo apart but its mostly solid state, I was told a chip goes bad. Theres 2 models of speedo used, you have to get the correct one, they are differentiated by the mileage counter. I forget the names, someone here will know if you decide to do a swap out.
