Pulling an engine 200

My dad and I pulled a few engines from 240s years ago (haven't needed to do it with the later model 240s yet). Back then, we took the hood off the car, removed the radiator, AC condensor, and (if memory serves) some of the front end sheetmetal, and then disconnected everything and pulled the engine and tranny as a complete unit with accessories still attached. These were with manual tranny. Not sure if it would work as well with an automatic.

We did this in a garage with a block and tackle type hoist attached to a structural steel I beam. I think you have to disassemble the front end somewhat to remove the engine/tranny as one unit using this method- especially if you can't get the car high enough or lift the engine high enough for clearance to rotate the engine/tranny for removal.
