87-740 AW72L overdrive issue. Replace, repair, disable???

"Where it enters the solenoid". Thats the spot. But from the looks of it, I doubt I'll be able to solder it. I'll pull it ,get a good look and decide based on what I see.
I agree that Ipd is overpriced. Probably why I almost never shop there.
