man.. yea... a quart every 700-900.. sure. that's a bit much. But really now. Considering the steady high RPMs... it's not that bad.

I'd got with thicker oil.. 20/50... and live with it until you are ready for a proper rebuild. A quart every 1000 miles is within spec for some new cars. If it doesn't smoke such that you are embarrassed to drive it, run it. That's my opinion anyhow...
