Ethanol 1800

Hello,

Yes, it could definitely be the 10% ethanol at the station. I read just the other day in a news magazine that the 10% ethanol mixed with gasoline helps eliminate knock. In years past, my old Caprice used to knock and diesel on anything other than premium. Nowadays I put in regular Wal-Mart 10% ethanol fuel and don't worry about knocking or dieseling.

It could also be that some octane ratings and other factors (such as additives) differ slightly from gas station to gas station.

Biofuel is likely to grow significantly in the upcoming years as sugar cane and algae biofuel research is giving indications of obtaining more energy in the future from these sources for less money.
