Fuel problems can be pump or injector related.
When it cuts out try spraying ether down the bellows or FPR vac line to the throttle body. It should fire right up if the problem is fuel related.
If it doesn't fire up, check the injector circuit,
swap the 2 relays on the coolant tank.
I test my injector plugs with a cheapo multimeter , shows approx 5v when cranking over. But they sell noid lights which plug in and flash.
If the tach drops top zero even as the engine is still rotating its more likely to be the RPM sensor on top of the bellhousing, run your hand down the wire, is the insulation falling off down near the bottom?
