Modifications to engine mounts 200 1985


It seems reasonable to me that your idea would work. I think the most difficult part of such a modification would be trying to keep from getting cut by the sharp edge of the tin can. Hit it with some flat black paint inside and out; it should last a very long time.

Revision 2 to Plan B: paint the rubber with liquid tape electrical insulating dip. It comes in red if you really wanted to make the engine compartment spiffy.
